Introduction
We in the RAF are being called upon to assist in operations (Ops) in the UK and all over the world. We deploy as individuals or units world-wide to assist in air, combat, peace support and humanitarian Ops.
What ever the detachment, it is likely to place demands upon you, your partner and your family. This booklet concerns itself with the personal and professional demands of such a deployment or operation.
Our role in the Services is, by its very nature, inherently stressful. When we use this term stressful we do not necessarily mean something medical but something which is personally and professionally demanding.
