Wanted! Families Views
The annual Families Survey is about to hit the streets and it’s more important than ever that as many families as possible use it to have their say. For those people who haven’t seen it, the survey is run by the RAF’s Occupational Psychology team on behalf of the Personnel Policy organisation and is designed to capture opinions and concerns on a range of issues impacting on families – from housing to childcare, and from employment to medical services. The results are used by the policy teams in HQ AIR to identify where future policy needs to be heading and to act as evidence in driving forward changes. more...
Wanted! Views on Support Provided to Service Personnel, their families and Veterans
The Service Personnel Command Team are keen to canvass views from Service personnel (regular and reserve), their families and veterans on the support provided for them. They will be looking at the whole spectrum of support that Government provides to Service personnel, their families and veterans including accommodation, medical care, welfare provision and education for Service children. RAF Benevolent Fund to fund Relationship Counselling Trial
For almost 90 years the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) has been helping serving members of the RAF with a wide range of problems. Now it is trying to find the best way of supporting those who have difficulties in their relationships. The RAFBF is paying Relate to provide up to six counselling sessions and a number of training courses at three RAF stations during 2008 as part of a pilot project. If the pilot project is successful, the RAFBF will consider funding similar services for all RAF stations in 2009. more...

Deployment Welfare Package (Families Element)
Did you know that your parent Station can claim £1 per person per week for those deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan or the Balkans? This money can be used to aid communication or relieve hardship for the families of those deployed.
